lyrical gems for a monday :)
this is a little random for a post, but it is MY blog so anything goes, right?! I was driving to work today, and feeling a little sad for NO reason at all. when this happens I immediately put on some uplifting music because music can change your emotions quicker than you can say 'Bob's your uncle'! I slipped in a CD and listen to two songs in particular that I like from a band called mewithoutyou.
Here are a few parts of different songs that stood out to me, and totally got my focus back where it should be to start off my week- on Jesus :)
I was swimming through the waves
For what must have been day
But could find no relief,
When I started sinking down
I thought for certain I would drown
Until I saw you in the ocean underneath
All the bright colored fish
Tell of a treasure in a dull shell,
"Such subtlely, so easily missed!"
You, my hidden pearl of pure and perfect love
"But I'm so small I can barely be seen - how can this great love be inside of me?"
Look at your eyes - they're small in size, but they see enormous things.
"Oh but I'm so afraid, and I'm set in my ways"
But he'll make the rabbits and rocks sing his praise.
"But I'm to tired, I won't last long."
No, he'll use the weak to overcome the strong!
We hunger, but though all that we eat brings us little relief we don't know quite what else to do,
We have all our beliefs but we don't want our beliefs,
God of peace, we want you.
Anyways, I hope all of you lovely blog readers are having a great Monday wherever you are, whoever you are, and whatever you are doing today. I apologize for such a picture-lacking post, but this blog is meant to share my heart, which includes other things BESIDES just my photos :) !! More photos coming soon, a ton of exciting stuff in the works! Happy December!!
