Justin + Heather Wedding

What a fun wedding!! I had been looking forward to this wedding at Lake Tahoe for months and months and months. Justin and Heather are such a wonderful and genuine couple. From the first time I met with them, I knew I wanted to work with them, and not only that but develop a lasting friendship with them. Their wedding was technically in Nevada, starting out at the Hyatt and ending up at The Chateau. It was a fantastic day from start to finish, and Rachel and I felt so at home with their family and friends, it was really an amazing experience!

Heather started out getting ready at the hotel,

Then we made our way to the beautiful golf course for pictures. The girls all looked AMAZING and kept Heather always laughing,

the gorgeous bride,

Justin bought all the groomsmen these awesome belt buckles to complete their wedding day ensembles,

the charming groom himself,

we took advantage of some of the awesome scenery,

Heathers dad, all smiles, walked Heather proudly down the aisle,

their ceremony site was amazing, I can't believe it was my 'job' to hang out there all day!!

you could tell in their eyes how much they adored eachother,

their dog / ringbearer listened and watched attentively to all of the events of the ceremony,

such a romantic kiss and such a romantic backdrop!

some alone time with the newlyweds,

my favorite boquet yet.. all of wildflowers, so pretty!

love it!

down to the lake at sunset for a few more shots,

the table settings were so unique. Justin proposed while gold panning with Heather with a 'will you marry me' at the bottom, so they incorporated the theme into their reception. So cute!

The toasts were a riot,

the dances so sweet,

have you ever seen a cuter cake in your whole life??! And they fed eachother so nicely, no cake-face smashing here,

the dance floor was non-stop all night,

And no wedding is a wedding without the macarena.. LOL!

...or kids standing heads without shoes on....? So fun!

CONGRATULATIONS JUSTIN AND HEATHER!

Janna + Devin Wedding

This past Sunday, Mother's Day, was amazing! First off, my mom is the most amazing mom ever, and she cannot be topped, sorry everyone! Anyway, later in the afternoon my new assistant Tara and I headed up to Santa Ynez to Gainey Vineyard. It was a BEAUTIFUL day, and a perfect 75 degrees with a little breeze. The party's theme was Black & White, but I had to slip in some beautiful color pictures along the way. As we took a look around before the bride arrived, we knew that we had an awesome day in store!

Janna looked beautiful, and was SO excited about the day...

and the shoes were adorable!...

getting ready...

the gorgeous Janna...

praying before the ceremony, the most important part of getting ready!...

Devin and the boys arrived looking dashing,

The proud father of the bride escorted her down the aisle,

what a beautiful scene!...

the rings slipped on, everyone took communion, as Pastor Sean reminded us what marriage really symbolizes,

some sweet tunes...

and then devin really let her have it!!

the bridal party being silly, what else...

and finally some alone time (sort of, LOL)

elegant details...

the heart warming first dance, *sniffle, sigh* followed by the father and mother's dances...

the toasts were hilarious but hearfelt...

Devin and the boys had made 8 homemade cheesecakes?!?!? delicious!...

the boquet and garter were definitely a sight to see...

the dance floor was hoppin' all night long...

and what a beautiful night it was!

oh, and they sped off at the end of the party in this 1933 Studebaker! Awesome!

lomography's journal

My wonderful friend Stacey showed me this livejournal for photographers a while back, and I have to admit I stalk it regularly. There is a LOT of talent on here and it is so inspiring. I have been looking around for a holga, a brownie, and a lomo so I can up my wedding photography game, especially after seeing what can be done with them! Anyway, if you have a minute, check this site out and bookmark it because it is regularly updated!

Shani + AJ Wedding

Shani and AJ's wedding was simple, beautiful, relaxing and fun! The atmosphere of the whole day (despite the weather's scorching heat) was peaceful, and it kind of felt like a really pretty dream! :)

it was a GORGEOUS day at Hidden Hills Bed & Breakfast...

Shani's dress and shoes were beautiful...

and she was all smiles as she prepared for the day...

the flower girls were adorable...

and the flowers themselves weren't bad either...

the bride was radiant...

and her ladies glowing as well...

and the groom was easy on the eyes...

and his guys full of charm...

and the little-er guys full of.. well...uh....

Shani's face lit up as she saw her groom waiting down the aisle...

the vows were beautifully honest,

the rings slowly went on while they soaked up the meaning of it all,

then the kiss to seal the deal!

the lovely couple enjoying the peacefulness after the ceremony...

AJ got the sniffles "because something was funny..." riiiiiiiiiight....

back to the romance...

the reception was dreamy...

the first dance...

and no weddings a wedding unless someone gets thrown in the pool!

Stacey + Matt Engagement

Stacey and Matt are such a gorgeous couple! It took a lot of convincing for me to believe that they hadn't done an engagement shoot before or at least practiced!! I guess when you are so in love, looking amazing in pictures together comes naturally??? We went to a few beautiful spots around Ventura, where we are both from. We started out bright and early at Starbuck of course :) A couple of assistants were unavailable so my fantastic mother stepped in and filled the need! She is truly amazing. So anyway, we jumped a few fences, stared down cows in hopes to intimidate them so they wouldn't eat us, and just basically had a blast! Their wedding will be at the Wedgewood in August, it is going to be soooo much fun! Okay so I know I put alot of pictures in this post but I just loved so many!
