rest in peace

goodbye spankie, you are the best cat that ever lived. everyone that knew you knew that you were something special, and out of the ordinary. thank you for being my best friend since i was 8, always there when i needed you, to purr away my tears. i will miss you so much but i am so grateful for the blessing of time i had with you, and how you hung on through these last 4 months for me. it was an honor to be by your side while you passed away. i hope you have a blast in kitty heaven, eat and sleep to your heart's content, with a new, healthy body :) i love you forever.

The sky is grey and the light is far
The sea is a rage within my heart
I turn my sight to the crashing waves
I cry in the night just to be saved

I need eyes to be my guide
I need a voice that’s louder than mine
I need hope I need You
Cause I can’t do this alone

Grace I call Your name
Oh won’t Your smile fall over me
I’m cracked and dry on hands and knees
Oh sweet grace rain down on me I need You grace

I pray for dawn a new day to live
I pray for mercy only Jesus gives
Though darkness falls and a million cry
I believe over all there’s a greater light shining for us

Come down and save me

-'grace' phil wickham

I remember the first time you told me what her name was i thought you said spikey and i remember when she woke us up just in time for me to not be late for work and i remember how she would get all wild and run around the room and how she used to talk back when you talked to her.

rest in peace spanky, jesus used you in wonderful ways, we'll miss you. <3

How could I NOT de-lurk to say how sorry I am for your loss. It's never easy to lose a beloved pet, may you find comfort in those joyful memories you shared.

oh no! i am so sorry for your loss of your beloved "spankie". i empathize with you as a devoted cat lover myself and having lost my favorite buddy "velkro" a few years back, i know just how hard it is. your love for "spankie" will never compare to the next, but will always be there in great memories.

These pictures are hard too look at... I love the one of her feet!! I'm so very sorry friend!! Only God knows why, just be glad you got this much time with her...I can't even find words to express my sorrow.
I hope that the Holy Spirit fills your heart with comfort and squashes Satan in his attempts to harm you!!

annie,
i wish that i could hug you right now & cry with you...instead i am on the other side of the world crying with you as i write this. she was such a sweet, sweet friend & we'll never forget her. i remember when you first got her & how much you have loved her through the years. she had such a wonderful life filled with your love, your warm sunny room, your snuggly bed, your hugs & kisses, your warm lap, etc. etc. etc. :) what happier life could a little kitty have? she was such a faithful little friend, and for that i truly believe that she is in Heaven, healthy again and with her Creator :) i love you, sis

oh, so sad... I am so sorry! She looks like such a sweet, sweet kitty, and I know you will miss her greatly. :( Pets like that are such blessings.

We once had a cat named Louie who lived to be 20 years old... I was 12 when he died, so after he was gone there was this HUGE empty space for me, since he had been around since the day I was born. I remember I spent the whole day crying and crying. So, what I'm trying to say is, I know exactly how you feel, and I give you hugs. :)
